Ultimate destination for football final competitions in Africa, Morocco, is living up to its rating as the kingdom has again promised to make a carnival out of Saturday’s final match of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The final match of the competition which pitches Morocco against defending champions, Egypt, will see no fewer that 46 of the presidents of the 54 football federations in attendance.
That apart, eminent sports journalists across the continent will also grace the occasion.
The final match pitching two teams that are already through to the Men’s Football event of Paris 2024 Olympics, will hold at the Stade Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The stadium had earlier this year hosted the final match of the Club World Club. The presence of the federation presidents testifies to the Kingdom of Morocco’s leading position in the African soccer landscape, where it is regarded as a major player in the development of soccer on the continent.
The Kingdom of Morocco welcomes the prospect of continuing its commitment to the organization of world-class sporting events, capitalizing on its successful track record.
Indeed, it is enthusiastically considering the possibility of hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the 2030 World Cup in collaboration with Spain and Portugal.
