On paper, the fixture of The Gambia against the record seven-time champions, Flying Eagles may look like a stroll in the park for the Nigerian side.
But realistically, it is not. Nigeria and The Gambia meet on Monday evening at the semi-finals of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations at the Cairo International Stadium.
The Gambia, like their Senegal which territorially encycle the country, have been a high scoring sides at the tournament and have had perfect scores so far. They won all their matches.
Both countries are the only ones yet to concede any goal as the competition is drawing to a close.
Both have also scored nine goals each in four matches, making them the teams to watch.
In the case of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, the goals have been trickling in. It was only against Mozambique that Nigeria scored two goals.
