Radio and television sports presenter, Godwin Enakhena has been hailed by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu for the services the journalist has rendered to sports generally and to his church, Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM).
Enakhena, a former print journalist before switching to the electronic media has been a driving force in what appears a marriage of sports and evangelism.
For this, Governor Sanwo Olu, also a member of the MFM, while acknowledging the feat of the MFM Women’s Basketball team rise to continental level, paused to praise Enakhena.
He was the pioneer chairman of the now defunct MFM football club and also a driving force behind the basketball team.
The governor acknowledged the journalist scope of operation in a wide spectrum of activities ranging from raising the ministry’s football team to that of basketball and also managing the wrestler, Odunayo Adekunroye.
Enakhena is at the moment the chairman Nigeria Premier League side, Sporting Lagos.
