SHOCKING REFEREE DECISION! David Moyes Claims Chelsea Star Morgan Rogers Should Have Seen a Second Yellow Against Everton

David Moyes Believes Morgan Rogers Should Have Been Sent Off Against Everton

Everton manager David Moyes believes Chelsea midfielder Morgan Rogers was fortunate to escape a red card during Chelsea’s 2-0 Premier League victory on Saturday afternoon.

Referee Paul Tierney found himself at the centre of attention throughout the contest, with several of his decisions sparking debate. While he took a strict approach to certain incidents, other moments appeared to receive surprisingly lenient treatment.

The official issued seven yellow cards during the match, with Chelsea players receiving four of them. Pedro Neto and Cole Palmer were booked for dissent, while Rogers received a caution following a heated confrontation involving Everton defender James Tarkowski and Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo.

The incident occurred in the 37th minute when Tarkowski barged into Caicedo away from the ball, triggering a reaction from Rogers. The Chelsea player subsequently shoved the Everton defender during the altercation, prompting Tierney to show him a yellow card.

However, Moyes believes the punishment was insufficient, suggesting that Rogers should have been shown a straight red card for his involvement in the incident.
