We feel for them’ – Farke sends message to Leeds United duo after disappointment

Leeds United have seen several of their players earn international recognition ahead of the upcoming break, although the latest selections have also brought disappointment for those who narrowly missed out.

Anton Stach has been included in the Germany squad after previously being on the fringes of the national team before an injury disrupted his hopes ahead of the World Cup. Meanwhile, Wales manager Craig Bellamy has selected Leeds players Jayden Lienou, Ethan Ampadu, Harry Wilson and Dan James. However, Wilson will be unable to feature during the international window because of injury.

Leeds’ impressive start to the Premier League campaign has put several of their players firmly on the radar of their respective national teams. Their strong performances have already resulted in recognition for a number of players.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been given another opportunity to push for an England place, while goalkeeper James Trafford continues his battle with Jordan Pickford for the national team’s No. 1 position.

There had also been growing calls for Leeds defenders Jayden Bogle and James Justin to be included in Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad. Some reports even suggested Justin had a realistic chance of making the final selection, with members of the England coaching staff reportedly monitoring his performances.

However, neither player received the call-up this time around. Leeds manager Daniel Farke was quick to offer encouragement, insisting that continued strong performances could eventually put both players in contention.

“All English players are delivering good performances, but it’s early doors. Thomas knows what he needs. If they keep delivering performances, everyone will be aware. You have to show it with consistency. I’m pretty sure they have a chance to be in the spotlight,” Farke said.

Bogle has already scored once in his four Premier League appearances this season, while Justin has contributed one goal and one assist across all competitions.

Leeds have made significant progress since returning to the Premier League, and the performances of their players have played a major role in that development.

The fact that Bogle and Justin are now being discussed as potential England options is another positive sign for the club. Even though they missed out on the latest squad, their performances have clearly attracted attention at the highest level.

Bogle has impressed consistently, while Justin has shown his versatility by performing well in different positions.

With players such as Stach and Calvert-Lewin also receiving international recognition from Germany and England, Leeds’ growing reputation is becoming increasingly evident.

Their players attracting attention from major international teams underlines how far the club has come since returning to the Premier League and suggests Leeds now possess the quality required to compete at the highest level.
