Lewis Hall has committed his future to Newcastle United by signing a new contract, despite previous speculation linking the defender with a move to Manchester United.
Throughout the summer transfer window, Newcastle made it clear that Hall was not for sale, particularly after the club parted company with several key players, including Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.

However, former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes Newcastle could eventually cash in on Hall, predicting that the left-back may leave the club at the end of the season.
Jordan questioned whether Newcastle can continue developing as a club if they regularly sell their most valuable players.
He said Newcastle must increase their revenue to compete at the highest level, adding that Hall could be another valuable asset the club has protected before potentially selling him in the future.
Hall delighted with new Newcastle contract
Hall, who grew up supporting Newcastle, expressed his happiness after putting pen to paper on his new deal.
The defender spoke proudly about representing the club and highlighted the special connection his family has with Newcastle United.
He said playing for the club means a great deal to him, particularly because of the support the team receives both at St James’ Park and away from home.
Hall also explained that making his family proud is one of his biggest motivations and that seeing him represent Newcastle is especially meaningful to them.
The 20-year-old also praised the team’s strong start to the season and welcomed the arrival of the new coaching staff. He believes Newcastle have the potential to achieve significant success in the coming years.
Despite Jordan’s prediction over Hall’s future, the defender’s new contract represents Newcastle’s commitment to keeping one of their important young players at the club.
